Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Following the divorce of her parents the actress left Worthington in Ohio and moved with her family in Los Angeles. However, in 2001, despite finances she managed get her first significant part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's lead character. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role as Murder on the streets of Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to take home the award. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was forced to quit the show to focus on her acting career. She had appeared alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. She was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace performed the role of Shannon again in Lost's finale and in two additional episodes. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. Gyllenhaal is a member of her family and is the elder cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens, she began to work in small roles for her father. She was also in Donnie Darko alongside her sister. The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and the love story Secretary (2002). Both movies were critically acclaimed. Following several commercially-successful films, such as World Trade Center in 2006 she gained greater recognition when she played Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). One of her most recent roles include the protagonist of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021 Gyllenhaal was able to make her writing and directing debut in the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she won an award at the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
